I'm particularly interested in photographing places you or I might pass without thought or awareness, that are somehow unique in appearance or context.

I think of these places as being at rest - whether for a season, or at the end of whatever service they have provided.

Examples of my recent work along these lines include the Sharon Temple, Don Brickworks, and other places in and around Toronto, the Bruce Peninsula, Havana, England and Massachusetts.

Several years ago I became interested in large format and panoramic photography, after shooting in 35mm format for nearly 30 years. The slower, more reflective, and completely manual approach to photography appeals to me, particularly for landscape and architectural work, in its ability to capture detail and work with perspective. I photograph digitally as well, but my experience has tempered my approach, and I like to think, the result.
